Cush212 ran out of money. This was a direct result of the fraudulent mortgage-backed securities Financial Meltdown crisis. The Meltdown was led by Wall Street, The Bankers, and the Ratings Agencies. Cush said he was bailing out of his place, and he was moving into a friend's place for some temporary help. (This happened to me once.)

Earl B. Powell similarly met this fate. (Earl said he lost most of his 401k savings at this time.) These men (and their families?) lost their dignity and they are suffering financially. How many thousands (and millions) more of us are also affected by this? I haven't worked in several years. I have no dignity, and I have no shame.

During this time, I created and donated Monte's Taper Handbook for The Internet Archive. It took me three years to build it. Thanks again to LiA, and thanks to everyone who contributed.

The theme of the exhibit focuses on the rich legacy of poster art that has defined the graphic heritage of the Grateful Dead phenomenon and explains how it illuminates the treasures of the Archive, from the literary and musical achievement it documents to its broader cultural impact and significance. Guests will be treated to superb local food, wine, and live music as they experience the exhibit, meet old and new friends, and mingle with special guests, including legendary poster artist Stanley Mouse, who has designed an original, limited edition poster commemorating the event. Guests will receive a copy of the keepsake poster, along with a numbered, limited edition hardbound book documenting this inaugural exhibit.

Re: The Tapers, and UCSC's GD Archive debut

If I had an invitation - and, if my expenses were covered, I would be available to attend "the public debut of the Grateful Dead Archive at UCSC" in November. I would like to personally donate all of my original GD cassette tape Masters that I taped. If GD Archivist Nicholas Meriwether and fellow Deadheads were interested in this (or something similar), I thought I'd mention this.

List of concerts, festivals, and shows that I taped - including a few shows that I upgraded and archived.
